My name is Chris Smith and I offer individual counselling, psychotherapy and coaching in Bristol.

I help adults with work related stress, to overcome anxiety and achieve a greater sense of control, balance and fulfilment, using coaching and mindfulness techniques.

Because we spend so much of our time working, many people find stress at work greatly impacts on their health and personal lives. With ever increasing demands on our time and pace of living, the need for help with these pressures of modern life has never been more apparent.

Should this be a concern for you, we may work towards finding lasting strategies that enable you to manage stress more effectively and increase your resilience. And alongside providing a safe and contained space to explore deeper underlying issues, while guiding and supporting you through the process.

I know that seeking help can be a major step. It takes courage to reach out, and finding the right counsellor or coach can be a difficult decision. Research shows, the most significant factor in the effectiveness of counselling is how well you get on with your counsellor. You want to be accepted and feel safe. You may also wish to experience real lasting change and not just endless talk without any long-term benefit.
